Escape the crowds and experience Yellowstone like never before—on horseback. This full-day ride takes you deep into the untouched wilderness of the park, offering an immersive experience filled with breathtaking vistas, pristine rivers, and incredible wildlife encounters. Whether you’re a photographer seeking the perfect shot, a nature lover eager to soak in Yellowstone’s grandeur, or an adventurer ready to explore rugged backcountry trails, this ride provides an unforgettable way to see the park beyond the boardwalks and busy roads. Ride Details & Tentative Itinerary: Riders will meet at the pre-arranged trailhead between 7:30 and 8:30 AM to begin their journey into Yellowstone’s remote backcountry. The morning ride will take you through towering forests, open valleys, and along scenic rivers, where wildlife sightings are common. Midday, we’ll stop along the river to enjoy a hearty sack lunch while the horses graze in a nearby meadow. After time to rest and explore, we’ll saddle up and make our way back to the trailhead, returning in the late afternoon. Ride Locations: Lamar Valley Ride, Pebble Creek Valley via the Stairway to Heaven trail, Specimen Ridge, Slough Creek, Yellowstone Canyon Ride, and so much more! Approximant time: Customizable to the client (6-10+hrs) Minimum of two participants. What’s Included: -Well-trained horse -Experienced guide -Sack lunch & beverages -Unparalleled backcountry scenery Lunch Details: Each guest receives a freshly prepared sack lunch, which usually includes sandwich, homemade cookies, trail mix or nuts, fresh fruit, water, Gatorade, and/or soft drinks (gluten-free & vegetarian options available upon request) Additional Information: -Groups larger than 10 – Please call our office to book. -Not seeing your preferred date? Accommodations: Lodging reservations are non-refundable within 14-days of the check-in date. To receive a full refund, please call our office or email at least two weeks prior to reservation. Full payment for horseback riding and fishing experiences is due at the time of booking. 50% of the payment is a non-refundable deposit. Non-refundable deposits can be applied to a rescheduled trip the following season. Camping Trips: For pack trips, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at the time of booking with the remaining balance due upon arrival at Skyline Guest Ranch. We recommend clients purchase travel insurance for pack trips. Photography Retreat: Payment for the retreat will occur in two parts, an initial payment of 50% is due upon booking in the form of a nonrefundable deposit. The remaining payment will be due on July 1, 2024. In the event that a participant cannot attend, the nonrefundable deposit can be applied to a future booking with Skyline Guest Ranch. Refunds will not be offered for scheduled changes or cancellations due to weather. We reserve the right to adjust the itinerary in an effort to align activities with the best weather conditions.
