RIDING IN YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

Few experiences compare to that of horseback riding in the backcountry wilderness of Yellowstone National Park. Skyline Guest Ranch offers private tours into the most remote and visually spectacular locations in the park. Escape the crowds for an experience that truly encapsulates the beauty of Yellowstone. This is a great way to see wildlife in its natural setting, view breathtaking vistas, and relax in nature. This trip is perfect for photographers or anyone wanting an immersive Yellowstone experience.

Riding Locations
Skyline offers full-day horseback riding experiences in countless locations on the northeast side of Yellowstone National Park. Each location is unique and offers a different riding and sightseeing experience. The following is a list of some of our favorite places:

Lamar Valley- The Lamar Valley of Yellowstone is a world-renown location for animal sightseeing. Knowns as America's Serengeti, the Lamar offers opportunities to see bison, pronghorn antelope, wolves, bear, coyotes, badgers, etc.

Specimen Ridge, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone- Our Specimen Ridge ride into the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is the most unique ride we offer in Yellowstone National Park. This ride offers breathtaking vistas of the Lamar Valley from 8,500 ft and a bird's eye view of the Yellowstone River winding through the canyon. This ride presents an opportunity to see elk and other wildlife. This is our top recommendation for adventure seekers!

Stairway to Heaven, Pebble Creek Valley- After climbing switchbacks over Barronette Peak, enjoy a peaceful ride through the vast wildflower meadows of the secluded Pebble Creek Valley. Enjoy surrounding views of mountain peaks including Wolverine, Abiathar, and Cuttoff Mountain. If you're lucky, you'll even spot a bull moose enjoying the endless willows along Pebble Creek.

Tentative Itinerary
Meet your private guide and horses at the previously agreed upon trailhead between 7:30-8:30 am. Enjoy the morning riding into the interior of Yellowstone, enjoying the crisp morning air. After enjoying lunch and spending time exploring the area, we will pack up and ride back to the trailhead.
